The Dip Net Restaurant in Port Clyde is operating out of a food truck this summer after a fire destroyed a few of the village’s dockside businesses in September.
The food truck, according to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page, will be situated at the location of its brick-and-mortar restaurant. It will serve some of the same menu items as the restaurant did and was able to open with the help of the community, the business said.
The fire started at the restaurant on Sept. 27 before destroying the Port Clyde General Store, Linda Bean’s Maine Wyeth Art Gallery and a ferry terminal, along with four original Wyeth artworks.
Nobody was hurt in the fire, and the town of St. George continues to work on rebuilding the area.
