LOVELL — The Charlotte Hobbs Library Speaker Series welcomes Matt Cost, the acclaimed author of the “Clay Wolfe/Port Essex” and “Mainely Mystery” series on Thursday, June 20 at 7 p.m. A prolific writer of histories and mysteries, Cost won the Maine Humanities Council Read ME fiction book of the year for “Mainely Power”, the first in his Mainely Mystery series.
A history major in college, Cost has owned a mystery bookstore, a video store, and a gym, and served “ a 10-year sentence” as a junior high school teacher before beginning his career as a writer. Cost now lives in Brunswick and spends his days at the computer, writing.
