A 74-year-old man was extracted from a tractor trailer cabin after becoming trapped during a rollover crash in Aroostook County on Thursday.
A caller reported the crash on Route 11 in township T8 R5 around noon on Thursday, according to Shannon Moss, spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety. When officials arrived, they found Timothy Folson of Ludlow trapped in the truck’s cabin.
He was rescued from the wreckage, but did not receive any life-threatening injuries, according to Moss. He was transported to Houlton Regional Hospital.
An initial investigation shows that Folson’s vehicle had likely drifted off the roadway, before rolling onto the driver’s side. Route 11 was closed for around one hour while debris from the crash was cleared from the roadway.
