An Enfield man has been arrested following an investigation into drug trafficking in Penobscot County.
Paul Dolhancryk, 41, was charged with felony unlawful drug possession, misdemeanor possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and violation of conditions of release, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies executed a search warrant last Saturday at a Dodlin Road home in Enfield, where they seized 16 guns, suspected cocaine and evidence of crack cocaine manufacturing, the sheriff’s office said Thursday.
That followed Dolhancryk’s arrest on May 25 after a traffic stop on Interstate 95 in Orono. Deputies stopped Dolhancryk’s vehicle about 4:50 p.m. after learning Tara Culpovich, 49, and Robert Moreau, 48, were traveling with him, according to the sheriff’s office. Culpovich was barred from having contact with Moreau following an April 30 drug bust on Pine Street in Milford.
During that traffic stop, deputies found about 3 grams of crack cocaine, a Glock 9 mm, a .22-caliber revolver and a Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun.
As a result, Dolhancryk was charged with aggravated drug trafficking, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and violating his conditions of release, the sheriff’s office said last month. Culpovich and Moreau also were charged with drug trafficking and violating their conditions of release.
Police then returned to the Pine Street residence in Milford, where they found more evidence of drug trafficking, according to the sheriff’s office.
That investigation into drug trafficking in Milford also led to the April 29 arrest of Devon Joseph Holmes, 35, of Brooklyn who was wanted in New York City for murder.
The investigation is ongoing.
