A motorcyclist died Thursday after colliding with a car in Mars Hill.
Lance Kierstead, 50, of Easton was riding a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle south on West Ridge Road about 1:07 p.m. when he came to a curve and collided with a northbound 2010 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 42-year-old Jamie Avery of Easton, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Kierstead was taken to Northern Light A.R. Gould Hospital in Presque Isle, where he later died from his injuries, Moss said Friday morning.
Avery was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
