A substitute teacher is dead after a Thursday crash in Augusta.
Hunter Davis, 21, of Augusta was riding a motorcycle east on North Belfast Avenue about 8:46 a.m. when a 77-year-old Augusta man turned onto the road from Lambert Avenue, according to the Kennebec Journal.
The two collided.
Davis was airlifted to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where he succumbed to his injuries, according to the Journal.
The Chevrolet’s driver was taken to Maine General Medical Center in Augusta, where he was treated for injuries not considered life-threatening, the newspaper reported.
Davis was a substitute teacher at Cony Middle and High School, according to the Journal.
