A Bar Harbor woman died Thursday after she rear-ended a pickup truck with a moped in Bar Harbor.
Anita Burdzel, 52, was riding the moped near where Route 102 and Gilbert Farm Road meet about 2:45 p.m., according to CBS affiliate WABI.
A pickup truck was stopped there while waiting for another vehicle to turn, WABI reported.
Burdzel rear-ended the pickup truck and was thrown from the moped.
She was taken to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries, according to the TV station.
The pickup truck driver, who wasn’t injured, tried to move out of the way moments before the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
