Letter: Ranked-choice ruined my vote

I’m 75 years old and have been voting for the best candidate, either Democrat or Republican and independent, for the office that they were running for. Ranked-choice voting ruined my vote.

Whether I want a Democrat or Republican, apparently I’ve got to choose others also. One vote per person. This year I’m more concerned than ever about my vote making a difference.
