A man suffered damage to his hands on Monday when a gun cartridge exploded.
The man, whose identity hasn’t been released but is in his early 60s, was at the Wilton Fish and Game Club on Route 2 about 2 p.m. when the cartridge exploded in his Taurus revolver, according to the Sun Journal.
That “partially detached” his right index finger, and caused moderate damage to other fingers on both hands, the Journal reported.
He was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington before being airlifted to another hospital.
No additional information was immediately available.
