Organized by the Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed, this beloved event attracted more than 550 runners, joggers, walkers, and volunteers and raised over $20,000 in 2023 for FOCW’s all-ages education and conservation programs. The Friends on the Fourth 5K is not just a race; it’s also an important fundraiser to help protect our waterways against harmful invasive species and pollution so we can all continue to enjoy them.
Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed was founded in 2001 to protect the 28 lakes, ponds, and streams of the Cobbossee Watershed through community engagement, conservation, and education. For more, go to www.watershedfriends.com.
