Multiple government agencies went to the north side of Mount Desert Island on Thursday afternoon for a report of a person in trouble in the water, according to a Facebook post from the Bar Harbor Story newsletter.
The person was reported in the water near Clark Cove at about 3:30 p.m. Acadia National Park, Maine Marine Patrol and multiple area towns were reportedly sending boats to help, according to Bar Harbor Story.
Traffic was restricted on Clark Cove Road.
