The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an early morning crash in Stetson that left one person dead.
The crash was reported at about 12:10 a.m. Friday on Mullen Road, according to the sheriff’s office.
At the scene, deputies found that a truck had gone off the road into trees, and two people were trapped inside.
Emergency workers made live-saving efforts, but one of the vehicle’s occupants died at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office. No information has been provided on the second occupant.
Police have not identified the victim or released any additional details about the crash, which remains under investigation, according to the the sheriff’s office.
Stetson is about 15 miles northwest of Bangor.
