A Parsonsfield man faces charges after crashing his pick-up truck into a home off Route 160.
Joshua Hermance, 23, faces several charges stemming from the crash, which occurred in the early morning hours of July 4, according to a press release from Maine State Police spokesperson Shannon Moss.
Hermance was driving a 2009 Chevy 1500 with a 12-foot aluminum boat in the truck bed when he missed a turn on Route 160 and crashed into a parked car and the garage of a home, Moss said. Hermance then tried to drive away from the scene, but damage to his truck caused the boat to fall out of the truck among other debris. Hermance attempted to keep driving until the front tire of the truck was completely shredded and separated from the rim.
He then abandoned the truck and fled the area, Moss said. He was identified and taken into custody.
There were no injuries reported in the crash.
