A well-known Hancock County bakery is expanding to Greater Bangor.
Sweet Cheeks Bakery on Verona Island will open a second 24-hour location on Route 1A in Holden on July 20, according to a Facebook post.
The bakery is part of the Tradewinds Plaza, 113 Main Road. The grand opening will have free samples and prize drawings.
Two vending machines at the Verona Island location will provide 24-hour access to baked goods. The bakery’s menu includes croissants, cheesecakes, muffins and doughnuts.
Yeast rolls, sourdough, biscuits, seven types of cookies and various flavors of fudge are also on the menu.
Gluten free options such as whoopie pies, turnovers, mini cakes and cookies are available.
