The Maine Warden Service is searching for Michael Altmaier, 75, who has not been seen or heard from since Monday, when he left his New Sharon home for a meeting in Weld but never appeared.
He was last seen driving on the Colby Miller Road in Farmington, and his car was later discovered at the Mount Blue State Park scenic overlook off Center Hill Road in Weld, according to Mark Latti, spokesperson for Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife.
Family and friends have not heard from Altmaier, who is 5 feet, 11 inches, with sparse gray hair, and weighs approximately 220 pounds.
Anyone who saw Altmaier at the overlook, hiking one of the trails or has any information regarding him is encouraged to contact the Maine Warden Service at 207-624-7076.
