The Maine Discovery Museum announced Thursday evening that it will be closed on Friday because its “compromised” HVAC system is unable to keep up with this week’s heat and humidity.
Temperatures are expected to be in the low 80s in Bangor on Friday, with humidity approaching 100 percent.
“The comfort and safety of our visitors and staff are of utmost importance to us,” the museum said in a Facebook post. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding. Please check our website and social media for updates on reopening.”
