A Massachusetts man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly punched a Bangor police cruiser outside the Waterfront Concerts venue.
Kevin Reid, 30, of Braintree, Massachusetts, was charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, according to the Bangor Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Jason McAmbley.
Reid was denied entry to the Maine Savings Amphitheater because of “his level of intoxication,” McAmbley said Tuesday.
While he was leaving, Reid allegedly punched a marked police cruiser, and when he was being detained, Reid protested with a “loud and profanity laced outburst,” according to McAmbley.
An officer determined the cruiser was damaged, and McAmbley said that several witnesses identified Reid as the person who punched the vehicle.
He was taken to the Penobscot County Jail.
