CORINNA — The Yankee Brass Band will present a free concert Tuesday, July 23 at 6 p.m. at the Corinna Gazebo.
Since 1987 the Yankee Brass Band has entertained audiences with “historically informed performances” of 19th century American brass band music. Using rare and authentic period instruments, the Yankee Brass Band presents the music of the “Golden Age of Bands” played in much the same manner as in the mid to late 19th century.
Also performing at the concert will be the Crosby Community Band under the direction of Dr. Earl Lord. This concert is sponsored by the Carl R. Cuthbert Community Band Foundation. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to the Corinna Community Center Gymnasium.
