The Festival’s 60th birthday party slated for Saturday on the Brunswick Mall
BRUNSWICK — The Bowdoin International Music Festival is holding its birthday party in the heart of Brunswick to celebrate their 60th year bringing Chamber music to the Midcoast on Saturday.
This Saturday, July 20, join us for our 60th anniversary celebration on the Mall in downtown Brunswick. It’ll be a fun afternoon featuring a Community Concert on the Mall, plus an interactive Instrument “Petting Zoo,” cupcakes, free tote bags, and more. Grab a blanket or chair, bring your family and friends, and help us celebrate music and community.
There will be music performances by Festival Young Artists, with selections including Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, and a “Bach Double” Violin Concerto.
Have you ever wanted to try a violin, viola, or cello? Our Instrument Petting Zoo is your chance! Children of all ages (that includes you too, grown-ups), are invited to meet and try some of the instruments used in Festival concerts. Demo instruments are provided by Brunswick’s Frost Gully Violins.
Free sweet treats will also be provided by Gelato Fiasco and Wild Oats Cupcakes.
