A prisoner who escaped custody in west London has been arrested following a manhunt.
Graham Gomm, 63, eluded prison staff on Thursday after being taken to Hammersmith Hospital from HMP Wormwood Scrubs.
He had been taken to hospital after falling ill and was on remand for burglary offences, the Metropolitan Police said.
Detectives said they were concerned for Gomm’s welfare as he was receiving medical care before he escaped.
The Met Police said Gomm had been arrested in Putney on Saturday at around 8.30am.
“An investigation will continue into Mr Gomm escaping lawful custody,” a force spokesperson said.
