HARRISON — The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle crash on School Street in Harrison, resulting in a serious injury to the driver.
A silver 2020 RAV 4 crashed into a rock embankment at the Harrison Fire Department with significant front-end damage, according to Cumberland County Capt. Kerry Joyce.
The driver, a 58-year-old woman from Auburn, was not conscious and not breathing when the deputies arrived, Joyce said. First responders began CPR, and succeeded in resuscitating her.
She was transported to Bridgton Hospital in critical condition.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, but Joyce said it does not appear that speed nor alcohol were factors.
