THINGS TO DO THIS WEEKEND
It’s a packed, eclectic weekend at the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor, with rock band Godsmack on Friday night, comedy group the Impractical Jokers on Saturday and Kidz Bop on Sunday. It’s also the start of the Bangor State Fair, with the first of two weekends of rides, food, music and more running through Sunday.
There’s also ample fun activities for families all around eastern Maine. On Saturday, the Maine Artisan Bread Fair is set for Skowhegan, so carb-lovers, this is your weekend. On both Saturday and Sunday, Fort Knox State Historic Site in Prospect hosts a Wizarding Weekend, inspired by the Harry Potter books and included with park admission. And Sunday, it’s Open Farm Day across the state, when farms open their doors to the public to see all the good things happening in agriculture in Maine.
