The Bangor State Fair is back, and is on a mission to recapture its former glory.
This year’s fair features agricultural events held at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, which has been turned into a giant barn – but with air conditioning.
Agricultural events this year include goat shows, steer shows, sheep shows, the Farmer Olympics, tractor pulls, and more.
Three concert stages will be set up across the fairgrounds this year, which will have a slate of performers providing entertainment as fairgoers enjoy rides and vendors. The midway opens at 1 p.m.
The fair will also last longer this year than it has in the past, with events slated for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as well as next Wednesday through Friday.
