A Portland man who proclaimed the U.S. Capitol was “our house” during the Jan. 6, 2021, riot is headed to prison for 30 days.
Under a plea agreement, Michael Fournier pleaded guilty to two counts, including disorderly conduct. He was sentenced Thursday.
On the day Congress certified the election for President Joe Biden, he joined the mob and entered the Capitol, which was off limits to the public at the time.
At one point, pictures show Fournier inside the Capitol carrying a painting he took from another rioter and putting his hands on a Capitol Police officer.
