LOVELL — A summer favorite, in its 49th year, the Lovell Arts & Artisans Fair will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17 at the New Suncook School on Route 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This perennially popular summer fair benefits the private, non-profit Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library and admission is free!
This year we are excited to showcase 45 local artisans who will feature oil painting, watercolor landscapes, hand thrown pottery, beautiful jewelry, exquisite hand blown glass vases, ornaments, wooden household items, photography, fiber arts, hand knit items, wearable art t-shirts and hats, wood turned bowls and vases, handmade handbags, artistic notecards, felted sculpture, boiled wool clothing, antique China tiered serving trays, and fine art prints.
The artisans will exhibit their wares both indoors in our gymnasium space and hallways, and outdoors on the lawn. Musical entertainment will be provided throughout the day.
In addition to the artisans, we will feature home-made pies for sale, grilled food and sandwiches, and “Mr. Twister” the pretzel man from Fryeburg. A raffle with 15 fabulous items will be on display. Raffle tickets are one for $1 or six for $5 and can be purchased in advance at the Charlotte Hobbs Library or at the fair. All items can be viewed online at https://www.hobbslibrary.org/arts-artisans.
Rain or shine it will be a great day, so come to Lovell and enjoy a classic Maine fair with the whole family!
