SEARSPORT — Carver Memorial Library will welcome children’s book author and illustrator Hazel Mitchell for a book talk and workshop on Tuesday, Aug. 13 from 3-4 p.m.
Mitchell will lead participants into a magical world where fairies, gnomes, and loveable forest friends explore themes of friendship, connection, and belonging. The event will start with a storytime of one of the fairy books “Mitchell illustrated”. After that, she’ll lead a fun and fanciful drawing workshop where participants will learn to draw fairies and their friends!
This event is free and open to all children, but those under 5 should have an involved parent/guardian. Drawing supplies will be provided.
