A 16-year-old was seriously injured in a Sunday evening motorcycle crash in Portland.
The teen was riding his motorcycle east on Brighton Avenue, near the intersection with Raymond Road, about 6:10 p.m. when he left the road and hit a tree, according to Brad Nadeau, a spokesperson for the Portland Police Department.
Bystanders rendered aid until police and paramedics arrived, Nadeau said Monday morning.
The teen was taken to Maine Medical Center, where he was being treated for serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed at this time, Nadeau said.
