A Portland man allegedly assaulted two people with a baseball bat late last week.
Ramon Nunez-Rosario, 44, has been charged with elevated aggravated assault and aggravated assault, according to Brad Nadeau, a spokesperson for the Portland Police Department.
Nunez-Rosario allegedly attacked two people with a baseball bat about 3:37 p.m. Saturday in the woods behind the Homeless Services Center on Riverside Drive.
Both victims were taken to Maine Medical Center, where both were treated for life-threatening injuries, Nadeau said Monday. One victim is now listed in stable condition.
Nunez-Rosario was arrested Monday morning and taken to the Cumberland County Jail.
No additional information was immediately available.
