A 43-year-old Waterville man has been identified as the victim in a homicide committed last weekend.
The body of Charles Bellows was discovered at a Cool Street home at around 8:23 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, according to Maine State Police Lt. Aaron Turcotte. On Monday, state officials announced that the death had been declared a homicide.
An autopsy conducted by the state medical examiner’s office determined that Bellows had died of “sharp force injuries.”
Thomas Lowrie, 41, of Waterville was arrested on Sunday and charged with murder. Lowrie made his initial court appearance at the Capital Judicial Center in Augusta at 1 p.m. Monday.
