A man was seriously injured in a Wednesday evening crash in Ellsworth.
Dustin Hutchinson, 41, of Ellsworth was speeding in a 2005 GMC pickup truck on Winkumpaugh Road about 6:09 p.m. when the crash happened, according to the Ellsworth Police Department.
Firefighters had to use extrication equipment to free Hutchinson from the wreck, Ellsworth police said.
Hutchinson was airlifted to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, where he remained in the intensive care unit with internal injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
