A 45-year-old Arrowsic man died after his vehicle left the road on Friday in Arrowsic.
The Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office responded to the single-vehicle crash on the Old Stage Road at around 6:44 p.m. Jeremy Beane’s vehicle had gone off the road, before striking a tree.
According to officials, the vehicle left the right side of the roadway while northbound, continued in the ditch and then spun into a tree. Beane was trapped in the vehicle after the drivers side of the vehicle came to rest against the tree.
People in the vicinity of the crash pulled Beane from his vehicle, and attempted to provide emergency medical care. When emergency medical staff arrived on scene, they continued to perform life-saving care.
Beane died at the scene of the crash.
Cpl. Michael Fitzpatrick and Det. Brian Carlton of the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate the crash. The Old Stage Road has been reopened since the crash occurred.
