University of Maine senior linebacker Christian Thomas, who led the team in tackles with a career-high eight in a 17-14 win over Colgate last week, has been suspended indefinitely for violating team rules.
The University of Maine doesn’t comment on student conduct-related matters.
Thomas, a 6-foot-3, 230-pound native of Camden, N.J., has appeared in 21 career games for the Black Bears.
He had 10 tackles a year ago but only played in three games due to a hip injury.
He played in all 11 games in 2022 and finished with 16 tackles including three apiece against Boston College and Monmouth.
He appeared in six games during the fall campaign in 2021 and was involved in four tackles. He also blocked a kick.
