A Massachusetts man was seriously injured Monday when he was skydiving in Lebanon.
Manny Silva, 57, of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, was apparently unable to use a maneuver to slow himself before landing about noon, causing an “extremely hard impact,” according to York County Sheriff William King.
When deputies arrived at SkyDive New England, Silva was conscious, alert and talking, King said Monday afternoon.
Silva was airlifted to a hospital, where he was treated for serious but not life-threatening injuries.
No additional information was immediately available.
