In our culture, the act of play is viewed as inconsequential, time wasting, and frivolous. It is something only children are allowed and capable of doing as they hold a value that is “less than” adults.
During this weekend intensive, B4 the Other co-founders and Pedagogy of Play instructors Christopher Beaulieu and Malia’Kekia Nicolini will support players to explore the idea of play in order to find a more expansive reality, clearly defined relationships/roles, and an openness to abundant possibilities.
Join an intimate group of fellow players at the Taijiquan Center in Portland during Indigenous Peoples’ Day weekend — Saturday, Oct. 12 through Monday, Oct. 14 (14 hours total) — to support your personal play revolution. Players will be guided through light theater/clown games, written exercises, and discussion that blends observation, reflection, and bubble popping questions.
