A waterfront restaurant located by Bucksport’s town dock has a new owner.
Warren’s Waterfront Restaurant was sold on Sept. 16, according to documents filed at the Hancock County Registry of Deeds. The new owner is a company called Buckley Tower Hospitality LLC of Verona Island, the documents indicate.
More information about the sale and the new owner was unavailable Thursday. A message left at the restaurant was not returned.
The former owners, David and Katherine Warren, opened the restaurant in 2019 at 96 Main St., in a building previously occupied by Harbor View Grill.
“Under new management!” the restaurant posted Wednesday on its Facebook page. “Thank you to everyone who has made this opportunity a dream come true! Look forward to serving everyone!”
Information on the restaurant’s Facebook page indicates that no immediate changes are planned. Warren’s will continue to be open five days a week, Wednesdays through Sundays, for breakfast and lunch. The menu, described on the restaurant’s website as American comfort food, will stay the same.
“I am going to miss everyone,” Katherine Warren posted on the page.
The property was listed for sale for $749,900, according to LoopNet.
The restaurant is at least the fourth in the vicinity of downtown Bucksport that has been on the market or changed hands in recent months.
In July, a new Sicilian-inspired restaurant called My Buddy’s Place opened in the former Friar’s Brewhouse Tap Room on Main Street. Glenn’s Place on Route 1 in Bucksport was listed for sale for $250,000 earlier this summer, while Sandy’s Saloon, not far across the town line on Wardwell Road in Orland, remains on the market for $779,900, according to LoopNet.
