Jennifer Stone is a Democrat running for the Maine Legislature in House District 45 to represent Waldoboro, Bremen, Friendship, Washington and Louds Island.
We need new and fresh voices at the State House to vote for bills that affirm and strengthen a woman’s control over her own body, access to health care and housing for everyone, including new Americans, and specific steps to mitigate climate change.
Whether rights of the Wabanaki Nations for self-governance, access for Mainers to vote, or addressing the shortage of direct care workers in an aging population — Lincoln County has the oldest aging population in the state — Stone is eager to be a voice on these and many more issues our state faces.
After graduating from Unity College in 1998, Stone worked on projects at the renowned Presidio Trust National Park, which houses many sustainable businesses, and the Marine Exchange monitoring shipping traffic in San Francisco Bay. She returned to Maine in 2004 with her husband and child. She served as an assistant director of admissions at Unity College that prides itself on community engagement.
Stone’s experience has primed her for the job. She will connect the dots to the larger issues before Maine and the nation, among them, a divide that must be closed. She’s enthusiastic, dedicated and committed to represent all constituents for our shared futures.
She’s ready to do the work! Vote for Stone on Nov. 5.
