A Waterboro man has been accused of intentionally crashing his car into a 17-year-old riding an ATV.
Jason Campbell, 50, was charged with aggravated reckless conduct, according to York County Sheriff William King, who added that additional charges will be requested on indictment.
The 17-year-old was riding the side-by-side ATV near the intersection of Buff Brook and Lake Sherburne roads in Waterboro about 5 p.m. Saturday when Campbell allegedly crashed his car into them, King said early Monday morning.
King said that Campbell works on maintaining the grade on the road and was upset because they were “ripping up the road.”
The 17-year-old and his two passengers complained of minor injuries but refused medical attention, King said.
Campbell was taken to the York County Jail in Alfred, where he posted $500 bail and was released.
He will be arraigned on Nov. 12.
