I have been riding around my little corner of Maine and am stunned by the number of political signs dotting yards that support local book banning, election denying, conspiracy believing, DEI opposing candidates. It is stunning to think that these Maine voters have decided this is the kind of Maine they want. A Maine based on censorship, documented lies, alternate realities and discrimination.
We once were proud to claim that Maine is the way life should be. But if these candidates are elected I fear for Maine. I can only hope that Maine voters will look a little deeper at the candidates they profess to support and decide this is not the way life should be in Maine.
