A squirrel caused Wednesday morning’s power outage in downtown Bangor.
The outage swept through downtown Wednesday morning, affecting at least 501 customers at its peak, according to Versant Power’s website.
Power was restored to all but about 275 customers by 9 a.m., with outages lingering from Cross Street to Hammond Street to Franklin Street to Central Street.
Power was restored across downtown before 11 a.m.
A squirrel had come into contact with electrical equipment, causing the outage, according to Versant Power.
