A New Portland man driving a street sweeper was hit by a tractor-trailer in Coplin Plantation on Monday.
Michael Churchill, 45, was driving the street sweeper on Route 16 on Monday morning when he was rear-ended by a 2013 Kenworth tractor-trailer driven by 27-year-old Timothy Decker of Farmington, according to the Sun Journal.
Churchill was flown to a hospital, the Sun Journal reported, noting information about his condition wasn’t immediately available.
Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols told the Sun Journal that Decker said he couldn’t see Churchill because of “the amount of dust in the air.”
Coplin Plantation is southwest of Flagstaff Lake.
