Registration is now open for Northern Light Acadia Hospital’s 3rd annual Webinar on Healthy Brain Aging to be held on Wednesday, Oct. 23 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
The Maine Initiative for Neurologic Aging & Health is a statewide interest group for research in healthy brain aging, memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease, and related cognitive disorders.
This event brings together members of MAINAH, the community, and leading brain health professionals for information and updates on current work in Maine and the possible role the public can play in advancing research.
Topics to be covered include healthy brain aging by Susan Wehry, MD from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine who will discuss the latest recommendations to reduce one’s risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, followed by an update on Alzheimer’s research by Cliff Singer, MD from Northern Light Acadia Hospital’s Center for Geriatric and Cognitive Mental Health. The webinar will conclude a question-and-answer period, so participants are urged to bring their questions and get them answered by the experts.
The webinar is free, but registration is required. Please note that the meeting allows for 500 participants and attendance will be first come, first served. Therefore, it is recommended that if you plan to attend, join the meeting promptly at the start time or five minutes early. Once the meeting is full, no other participants will be able to join.
