What do you make of the hundreds, if not thousands, of Republicans formerly in positions of power — from members of the administrations of Ronald Reagan, George W. and George H.W. Bush, to former homeland security experts, to current and former members of Congress — who now advise you to vote, just this once, for the Democratic candidate for president, Kamala Harris? Because Donald Trump is unfit to lead this country. From national security reasons to economic policy to adhering to the rule of law, they beg you to be real patriots, as they are, and vote for both the remaking of the formerly great Republican Party, as well as for saving our precious experiment in real democracy.
Please think about this. Understand the seriousness of what we stand to lose if Trump attains power again. That this many Republicans in historical positions of authority — including many from Trump’s own administration, as well as vast numbers of regular Republicans who are supporting Republican Voters Against Trump — want you to vote against this one Republican, this one time, ought to cause you to reconsider your loyalty. ( Visit Wikipedia for the huge and growing list of Republicans who oppose Trump. It is stunning.)
To what are you loyal? A mere person (who happens to be a convicted felon)? Or to our Constitution, which has done, until now, a pretty good job of giving us a government of, by and for the people.
