Bath police arrested two people on Sunday after being called to a house for a report of a man threatening a woman with a gun.
Police received a call at about 11 a.m. reporting the alleged threat at an apartment near the intersection of Middle and Russell streets.
Based on information police received about the victim, they believed the man who had done the threatening was still at the apartment and was armed and dangerous, Bath Police Chief Andrew Booth said in a news release.
Bath police and deputies from the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office surrounded the house and evacuated neighbors, then contacted the suspect, Noah Sibole-Little, 28, of Bath, and ordered him to come out of the apartment where he was taken into custody, Booth said.
Police searched the apartment and found evidence that they used to arrest the woman who lived there, Kayla Maheu, 26.
Sibole-Little was charged with illegal possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, unlawful possession of Schedule W drug, and criminal threatening.
Maheu was charged with illegal possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and unlawful possession of Schedule W drug.
