Saturday Night Live tackled all the current TikTok trends in a parody featuring a handful of fun cameos on its October 19 episode.
The nearly four-minute sketch, aptly titled “TikTok,” started off in a vertical iPhone view as someone texted their “BAE” that they’re “HEADED OUT NOW” before doomscrolling through their social media thread.
Videos began flashing of everything from a cute cat dancing to Marcello Hernandez’s viral “Espresso” cover to a fitness girlie (newcomer Ashley Padilla) pumping up her followers while trying to sell them products.
Then there was a foodie, played by Kenan Thompson, offering up an honest review of Fruity Pebble-covered chicken in his car and — of course — a trad wife (Heidi Gardner) meal-prepping for her family while very pregnant.
“As a 22-year-old mother of 10, I like to do everything by hand,” Gardner said while mashing up her law degree to make paper for her kids to color on.
How the ‘Saturday Night’ Cast Compares to the ‘SNL’ Stars They’re Playing
Chloe Fineman played “Call Her Daddy” podcast host Alex Cooper while Bowen Yang took on influencer Harry Daniels as he sang to Maya Rudolph’s Kamala Harris, James Austin Johnson’s Donald Trump, and the episode’s musical guest Billie Eilish.
“Here’s some rent, please stop following me,” Elish told him.
Hernandez interviewed Trump as Danny Nahbrah and Mikey Day danced through thunderstorm reports as weatherman Nick Kosir. And Ego Nwodim bashed the “Chili’s on Jefferson Avenue” before Dana Carvey’s Joe Biden boogied in the Oval Office.
All of these parodies went down as the scroller received text alerts from the Harris-Walz campaign as well as “BAE,” who eventually told him, “YOU LITERALLY MISSED THE BIRTH OF OUR SON!!!”
A photo then appeared of what looked like Gardner as the aforementioned pregnant trad wife.

The video was later posted to the show’s YouTube page with the description, “Mindlessly scrolling through TikTok is the perfect distraction from becoming a father.”
Saturday night’s episode was hosted by Michael Keaton with musical guest Eilish performing her songs “Birds of a Feather” and “Wildflower.”
Alec Baldwin also returned to the show — not as Trump but as Fox News’ Bret Baier interviewing Rudolph as Harris for the cold open.
