I am writing to express my unwavering support for Scott Cuddy in his run for the Maine House District 37. As a teacher who has had the privilege of educating his child, and as a parent who has volunteered alongside Cuddy in Winterport’s parent organizations and Little League, I’ve witnessed firsthand the care and dedication he brings to parenting. It is clear that his commitment and dedication extend beyond his family to the entire community.
Throughout his time serving on the Regional School Unit 22 school board and in the House of Representatives, Cuddy has consistently championed educators and advocated for our students. He understands the current needs and challenges in education. His ability to connect with educators and prioritize their voices demonstrates his deep respect for our profession. As educators, we work hard to teach and care for all students, making sure they feel safe and welcomed in our classrooms.
Cuddy has and will continue to advocate and work tirelessly for all families so that they feel safe and welcomed in our state. I have no doubt that Cuddy will put forth strong collaboration and effort toward this goal.
What sets Cuddy apart is his remarkable skill in fostering partnerships, regardless of political affiliation. He listens thoughtfully, engages in meaningful discussions and seeks common ground, making him an effective leader who can unite our community. His respectful approach to dialogue is essential in these divisive times.
I wholeheartedly believe that Cuddy is the right choice for our district. He embodies the values we need in leadership — compassion, dedication and a commitment to education. I urge my fellow voters to support him in this election.
