Zach Bryan has confirmed that he and Barstool Sports personality Brianna LaPaglia (a.k.a. Brianna Chickenfry) have split after one year of dating.
“Addressing something: Brianna and me have broken up with eachother [SIC] and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart,” Bryan, 28, shared in an Instagram Story statement on Tuesday, October 22. “She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and for that I’ll always thank her.”
He continued: “I’ve had an incredibly hard year personally and struggled through some pretty severe things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go out different ways. I am not perfect and never will be.”
Bryan asked that his followers respect LaPaglia’s “privacy and space” as they navigate the split.

“If you have it in your heart, mine too,” he continued. “With everything I am and to anyone I let down, I am sorry. I try my best in everything. I failed people that love me and mostly myself.”
Shortly after his post, LaPaglia appeared to address the split with a social media statement of her own.
“Hey guys I’m feeling really blindsided right now. Gonna hop off social media for a while and attempt to heal privately, when I’m ready I’ll be back and ready to talk,” she shared via Instagram Stories on Tuesday. “I love you guys so much thank you for all of your kind words. Remember you are so loved and everything’s always gonna be OK.”
Fans started to speculate that Bryan and LaPaglia, 25, had split after the podcast host posted a cryptic handwritten note via Instagram Stories on Monday, October 21.
“And eventually you’ll find that life goes on, even if you don’t want it to,” her message wrote. “The days will pass and the world will move while you ask it to stop. You’ll believe life is cruel for continuing on while your feet are stuck.”
LaPaglia continued, “You’ll find people and moments to blame for your concrete feet. Then there will come a morning when you wake and realize things go on, life isn’t cruel your feet are. The world keeps on spinning in hopes of showing you that you can as well.”
Bryan and LaPaglia took their relationship public in July 2023, with the Barstool personality telling podcast listeners that it was a “fun” and “casual” romance. (They crossed paths earlier that year at the ACM Awards and again in June 2023 at one of his concerts.)
Singer Zach Bryan’s Dating History: From Ex-Wife to Barstool Fling
During their relationship, the couple got a dog together, which they named Boston, after her hometown. The “Something in the Orange” singer also purchased a house earlier this year in Duxbury, Massachusetts.
While neither of them spoke much about their relationship publicly, the couple did share Valentine’s Day tributes to each other this past February.
“You are tough when people are rude, you are honest when it’s hard, you are kind when it’s easy not to be, you are funny in a world full of cry babies, you are beautiful with no help, you are patient when I’m an idiot, you’re empathetic when you shouldn’t be,” he wrote on social media on the time. “Wish this world saw you in the same lights I get to. I love you and happy Valentine’s Day hot dog. Sorry I never got to jump out of that plan in Vegas to ask but here is to 80 more.”
