Kelly Rizzo has found healing in her new relationship with actor Breckin Meyer.
Bob Saget’s widow revealed to E! News in an interview published on Monday, October 21, that she and Meyer, 50, often talk about her late husband, who died in January 2022, which has helped her grieve the Full House star’s loss.
“He’s just been so supportive. Since day one, that’s just been such a big thing with him. He knew what I went through, and he appreciated it and accepted it — and always likes to talk about Bob,” said Rizzo, 45.
“It’s never like, ‘Oh, I don’t wanna mention Bob. I don’t want Breckin to feel bad about that,’” Rizzo added. “He’s just always been so kind about it. It’s been really special. It’s really nice that I’ve been able to move forward with him.”
Bob Saget and Kelly Rizzo’s Relationship Timeline
Rizzo, who was married to Saget from 2018 until his death four years later, said that Meyer has hung out with Saget’s daughters, whom he shared with his first wife Sherri Kramer.
“It’s pretty impossible not to like Breckin. He’s met Bob’s girls multiple times. We’ve had dinners together. They adore him. He adores them. It’s been really, really nice. They’ve kind of welcomed him,” the “Comfort Food” podcast host said of Saget’s daughters, Aubrey, 37, Lara, 35, and Jennifer, 31.
Rizzo went public with Meyer in February at a 2024 Grammy Awards viewing party. Rizzo and the Clueless actor made their red carpet debut at a Janie’s Fund charity event on February 4. The twosome held hands as they posed for photos, with Rizzo wearing an edgy leopard-print dress with black, knee-high boots. Meyer, for his part, opted for a graphic T-shirt and gray denim jacket.
“It took a while to get to the point where I’m like, ‘OK, I think he’d be happy with it,’” Rizzo told E! News at the time. “It’s wonderful, it just meant so much to have their blessing. They’re just angels. And to have them support is so meaningful.”
A month after debuting her new romance with the Road Trip actor, Rizzo hit back at people who said she moved on too quickly after Saget’s death.
“I’m gonna start by saying, unless you are a widow or a widower you truly have absolutely no place and no right to comment on this, because you do not know what it’s like,” Rizzo said in a video posted via TikTok on March 10. “You just don’t understand the incredibly complex and difficult and dynamic thoughts and feelings that come up during this entire process.”
In the four-minute and 34-second video, Rizzo explained that after losing a spouse, when it finally “crosses your mind to even think about starting to date again, just having those thoughts, you feel guilty, you feel ashamed, you feel horrible, but yet you also feel lonely, so you wanna do it.”

Rizzo said she received “support and love” from Saget’s friends and family about her decision to start dating again.
Rizzo went on to say that, even with that support network, “you still feel really weird about” jumping back into the dating pool. “But you still need to feel okay with it and peace with it in your heart,” she said. “I didn’t personally get to that point until well after a year after Bob had passed to even think about it.”
