One person was critically injured Thursday afternoon when a fire consumed a Skowhegan home.
The fire broke out about 3:04 p.m. on Waterville Road, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
The occupant made it out of the house but suffered severe burns, Moss said Thursday evening.
That person was taken to Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan, where they were in critical condition. The victim was expected to be airlifted to another hospital, but Moss didn’t immediately have that information available.
The Maine fire marshal’s office is investigating the blaze.
No additional information was immediately available.
