The boys high school soccer playoffs enter the regional finals stage this week with matchups scheduled at 10 sites around the state on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Tuesday’s action features teams in Classes A, D and 8-person. Classes B and C play on Wednesday, according to the Maine Principal’s Association schedule.
Class A will pit North top seed Camden Hills (14-1-1) against No. 2 Lewiston (14-2-1) at 4 p.m. at Messalonskee High School in Oakland. Camden Hills won both regular season meetings by scores of 2-0 and 1-0.
In the South, No. 4 Portland (13-2-1) will battle No. 3 Scarborough (14-1-1) at 4 p.m. at Massabesic High School in Waterboro. The two teams tied 1-1 in their only regular season meeting.
The Class D North regional championship will see No. 3 Fort Fairfield (13-2-1) taking on No. 4 Easton (12-3-1) at 4 p.m. at Presque Isle Middle School. The two Aroostook County rivals split their regular season contests, with Easton winning 2-1 and Fort Fairfield avenging the loss with a 2-0 victory.
The South D game pits No. 1 Richmond (14-1) against No. 2 Monmouth Academy (12-2-1) at 4 p.m. at Winthrop High School. The teams split in the regular season, each winning by 2-1 scores.
In 8-person action, No. 1 North seed Calais (15-1) squares off against No. 2 Piscataquis Community of Guilford (12-3-1) at 4 p.m. at Cameron Stadium in Bangor. The two teams split their regular season clashes, with PCHS winning 4-1 and Calais prevailing 4-3.
The South matchup has No. 1 Carrabec of North Anson (13-2-1) taking on No. 2 Greenville (14-2) at 4 p.m. at Cony High School in Augusta. Carrabec won both regular season games by scores of 4-2 and 2-1.
In Class B action on Wednesday, No. 1 North seed John Bapst Memorial of Bangor (15-1) will face No. 2 Medomak Valley of Waldoboro (10-2-4) at 4 p.m. at Hampden Academy. The two teams did not meet in the regular season.
In the South, No. 1 Greely of Cumberland (15-0-1) faces No. 2 Yarmouth (15-1-1) at 4 p.m. at Fryeburg Academy. The two teams tied 1-1 in the regular season.
The Class C North final will pit No. 2 George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill (11-2-1) against No. 4 Washington Academy of East Machias (11-3-1) at 4 p.m. at Hermon High School. George Stevens won both regular season meetings by scores of 7-0 and 3-0.
In Class C South action, No. 1 Hall-Dale of Hallowell (14-2) takes on No. 3 Mt. Abram of Salem Township (12-4) at 4 p.m. at Edward Little High School in Auburn. Mt. Abram won both regular season meetings by scores of 3-2 and 1-0.
Winners of the regional finals advance to Saturday’s state championship games. The Class A and D title games are at McMann Field in Bath at times to be determined. The B and C games are at Cameron Stadium in Bangor (times TBD) and the 8-person final is at 11 a.m. at Presque Isle Middle School.
