A Freeport man who was hit by a train on Thursday in Portland died from his injuries on Friday, according to Portland police.
Christopher Scott, 42, was walking behind Gilman Electrical Supply on Saint James Street at about 1:30 p.m. when he was hit by the train, police said.
Video taken by News Center Maine on Thursday showed an Amtrak train stopped in the area.
Scott was brought to Maine Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
